Currently are most urgent work has been the building of a home where children could be in a community of safety and hope when they no longer had the support of family as was more and more common following the war and instability.

Water was located, and after several years of hard work the first accommodation built with the associated kitchen, bathroom and toilet facilities.

There is more to be done but it was a great day when at last we could begin providing children with the refuge they so needed.
At first it was clear that the building and the support – care, food and other basic needs – would have to be funded by the charity. But the plan has always been to use the land to provide long term sustainability and opportunity, as children grew into young adults. Agriculture is familiar to all – South Sudanese and Ugandan - and so a farming community feels like home!

Producing our own food and increasingly generating income is building a real community. Support with Education and training strengthens this and gives opportunity that simply would not have been there before.
Urgent Transport Needed!

For now there are still immediate urgent needs that are beyond the capacity of the community – transport is needed (a recent medical emergency highlighting the areas isolation from essential services).
So our current fundraising priority is for a van or other suitable vehicle.

We remain grateful for our regular supporters who have stuck with us through this journey. Every contribution – regular or one -off, big or small – makes a difference.

I invite you to join us and experience God’s love in action!
